Krista was first drawn to dog grooming through styling her own colorful Yorkichon, Chloe. This passion led her to earn her grooming certification from Central Jersey Grooming Academy. In 2019, she launched her career in LA, working with renowned groomer Huber Pineda. Amidst the pandemic, Krista relocated to Portland, enriching her expertise at premium salons alongside local well known groomers. By November 2023, she achieved her professional certification through IPGA. Krista emphasizes fear-free handling and a deep understanding of canine body language, believing in a more personalized grooming approach that many salons overlook. She ensures every fur-baby receives unparalleled care and respect.

With a rich background in creative roles, including fashion design, visual merchandising, and makeup artistry, Krista founded KD Chic accessories in 2014. Today, she channels this creative energy into dog grooming, specializing in unique styles, colors, and accessories to make pets look and feel their best.
